Elinor Wyn Reynolds has been announced as the Union of Welsh Independents new General Secretary, succeeding the Revd Dyfrig Rees.
Elinor is a member of Priordy Church, Carmarthen, and has worked at Ty John Penri for many years with responsibility for the Union's publications.
Elinor is the first layperson for a hundred years to be appointed to the role. She is the first woman to become General Secretary in the history of the Union of Welsh Independents.
Elinor said "It's an exciting privilege to be elected the General Secretary of the Union of Welsh Independents. I'm looking forward eagerly to this next period.Together we have work to do."
Elinor will be presented officially at the Union's General Assembly which will be held in Nant Gwrtheyrn, North Wales between the 25-27 of June this year.
