The denominations that host the Llanfair church in Pen-rhys were invited to meet there on top of the mountain in order to welcome the President of FJKM (the Presbyterian Church in Madagascar) who is over in this country for the CWM General Secretaries conference which is taking place in Great Missenden this year.
Pastor Zaka Andriamampianina is new to this important position and has proven his ability, not only as a preacher of the gospel out in the country but also as someone who can offer guidance and be of constructive help in the recent turbulent political period in Madagascar. Pastor Zaka gave everyone a vivid account of life in Madagascar today.
Pastor Zaka was warmly welcomed to the Pen-rhys community and the history of the missionaries and the wonderful and proactive relationship between the people of Pen-rhys and Madagascar was mentioned.
Over recent years young people from Madagascar came over to work in the Pen-rhys community enriching life there. It is everyone's wish for this relationship to be revived and strengthened.
