We have good news to share.
The Union has appointed a new member of staff to undertake the duties of the Publications Officer at Tŷ John Penri. We are happy to announce that Margaret Hughes from Cardiff will be taking up the post at the beginning of September.
Margaret is originally from Fair Rhos, Ceredigion and attended Tregaron high school. She had her university education in Aberystwyth where she received a degree in Welsh, she also gained an M.Phil. in Welsh at Aberystwyth.
Over the years Margaret has worked for several national organisations in Wales, she has spent most of her career working within S4C on the business and finance side. She has experience in managing projects and working within administrative teams, she also worked as a translator and editor. Most recently Margaret has worked for the Church in Wales as Trusts and Charities Officer.
On accepting the job Margaret said: ‘I am very much looking forward to working on the variety of projects planned by the Union of Welsh Independents, to working together with the staff and the wider community in order to achieve them.’
We look forward to welcoming Margaret to our midst in September.
